A fine violin by ANDREA GUARNERI, Cremona, 1674

This fine violin plays with an exceptional level of comfort and offers full concert power with quintessential Guarneri depth and darkness.

Founder of the great Guarneri dynasty, Andrea apprenticed with Nicoló Amati from 1641-1646 and 1650-1654. During his time in the Amati shop he most likely worked alongside Antonio Stradivari who apprenticed there at the same time.

The second of our Spring Masterclass Series was an incredible success. Andrés Cárdenes is a legendary violinist and teacher. The students were all fantastic and it was a tremendous learning experience for them and the whole audience… Truly inspiring.

Also, a big thanks to our wonderful piano collaborators, Yebin Kor and Liang-Yu Wang.

Encore! ‘Salut d’Amour’ by Edward Elgar. Vadim Gluzman, Julian Rhee, and Janice Carissa.

Paige and Gabriel Ben-Dashan, directors of The Stradivari Society and owners of Bein & Fushi, were fortunate to attend an incredible concert featuring two Stradivari Society recipients on the same stage. Vadim Gluzman and Julian Rhee performed with the ProMusica Chamber Orchestra in Columbus last weekend and what a concert it was! It was a joy to hear them with this wonderful ensemble. Bravo to all!

A fine violin by Francesco Rugeri, Cremona, 1680

Francesco Rugeri was the first and most accomplished of a distinguished family of violin makers working in Cremona. It is widely accepted that Francesco studied with the great Nicolò Amati, and this violin is from a period where his work followed Nicolò’s style closely. Tonally, it offers an astonishing array of colors and layers, something one would expect from a Cremonese instrument from this time period. This exceptional example presents a rare opportunity to acquire a 17th-century Cremonese instrument, reminiscent of early Stradivaris and Nicolo Amatis.
