How awesome is this fabric? It has pattern, floral AND birds. Jennifer sewed up a McCalls 8662 and had to get creative piecing it together to make it wide enough- swipe to see. We sold out of this fabric fast, but will be getting more in August. We can’t wait to see other garments sewn up in it! Any ideas for other good patterns to make with it?

For those new to the tradition, Me Made May was founded in 2010 by Zoe Edwards (head to her profile for the history and a great podcast!) What started as a personal challenge to wear her handmade clothes more often has blossomed into a global movement celebrating creativity and the joy of wearing what you make. It’s not about perfection; it’s about pride in your process and connecting with a community of makers.

This year, Fiber Snob is hosting our own month-long Instagram challenge to keep you inspired from the first cut of fabric to the final hem. We’ve put together a month of weekly Instagram prompts designed to inspire your makes and connect our growing community.
