Meet our guest artist for this week's Second Saturday Art Walk!

Based in Port Angeles, digital artist Sara is the creator behind PeachPetals, an art brand inspired by fantasy, silly animals, and striking character design. Her work blends vibrant colors with detailed illustration to create expressive, eye-catching artwork with a playful and imaginative style.

Every sticker, print, and bookmark is personally designed, printed, and handcrafted by Sara using her home studio setup and Cricut machine. Through PeachPetals, she aims to create thoughtfully made artwork that adds a little flair, color, and fun to everyday life.

Second Saturday Art Walk is organized by the Port Angeles Arts Council and aims to connect the community and visitors with the vibrant arts scene in the Downtown Port Angeles Waterfront District. Participants who visit and collect stamps from half of the locations will be entered into a raffle to win prizes generously donated by local businesses. It also provides opportunities for artists and musicians to network.

A sad day for the Warhammer community.

John Blanche, the visionary artist whose work helped define the look and atmosphere of Warhammer 40,000, has passed away. His distinctive style shaped the grimdark universe that inspired generations of hobbyists, painters, writers, and gamers around the world.

His influence on the hobby can't be overstated. Rest in peace, John Blanche.

New Dungeons & Dragons groups forming on Thursdays

Two new weekly tabletop roleplaying groups are starting at the store, built around story-driven adventure, character development, and collaborative storytelling in a shared homebrew world. If you have ever wanted a long-term campaign where your choices matter and your character actually shapes the world, this is designed for that kind of play.

New players are welcome, and no prior experience is required. If you are joining for the first time, just ask what level character to bring before your first session.

Session times (Thursdays):
11:00 AM to 2:00 PM
3:00 PM to 6:00 PM

Each time slot is its own independent table. Both groups take place in the same shared world, running parallel storylines that will eventually converge into a shared endgame. Players who participate in both sessions will be playing two different campaigns within the same setting.

Campaign style:
This world blends exploration-focused “emerald maze” adventure design with anime-inspired themes. Expect a mix of magical girl aesthetics, bard-like mechanics, and a balance of lighter and darker narrative tones. The focus is on character-driven storytelling, memorable roleplay moments, and long-term narrative progression rather than one-off encounters.

If you are looking for a campaign where your character has time to grow, change, and matter in the world, this is built for that.

Table structure and cost:
There is a $5 table fee per player. The $5 fee includes $3 in store credit usable on all products (not valid for events). Dungeon Masters and Game Masters receive $2 in store credit per registered player, also usable on all products (not valid for events).

How to join:
If you want to join a session, message the store or join the Discord to reserve a seat. Space is limited per table, and we recommend reaching out before your first session so we can confirm availability and help you get set up.

Memorial Day weekend carries a different weight than most holidays, and we want to take a moment to recognize the people who lost their lives in military service.

For those spending the weekend catching up on manga, playing games with friends, or just taking some time to recharge, Anime Kat will be open regular hours Friday through Monday from 11 AM to 7 PM.

The Riftbound: League of Legends set, Origins, is back in at Anime Kat.

Set One's been hard to find, but we’ve got booster displays and Proving Grounds sets in right now. If you missed it the first time or have been waiting to try it out, this is a good chance to jump in.

A huge manga restock is rolling into Anime Kat right now, with nearly $3,650 in books hitting the shelves.

We’re currently working through processing everything, but this wave is packed with major series and favorites. Highlights include Berserk deluxe editions, Chainsaw Man , Vinland Saga deluxe volumes, Junji Ito collections, and restocks of Demon Slayer, Attack on Titan, and other popular series.

There’s also a wide selection of omnibus editions, starter volumes, and art books. We also managed to get copies of the Vampire the Masquerade base book back in.

We’ll be putting everything out as it’s ready. Stop in and see what’s already hit the shelves.
