Happy Pride Month! I’ve always been a little bit obsessed with the Victorian tradition of floriography and the idea of sending flowers with hidden meanings. Mix that with q***r history, and I’m hooked. If you ever want to send flowers with a message, I’d love to start incorporating more of that into my work.

For the featured flowers: violets represent sapphic love, lavender represents q***r resistance, and pansies represent pride and strength.

It feels meaningful to witness how words like “pansy,” once used as a derogatory term, have been reclaimed and reshaped into symbols of pride and identity. My partner even surprised me for our anniversary last year with matching pansy tattoos.

That’s the goal. While we source flowers seasonally, we’re always going to prioritize the vibe and create something that feels true to your vision. This wedding bouquet was so bright and juicy!

Getting to deliver florals for friends makes the experience even sweeter. This Port Townsend elopement was absolutely stunning, and I couldn’t be more excited to attend the reception today and celebrate with the rad couple.

Oh no have you heard that chartreuse and burgundy are over done wedding colors? Who cares? It shouldn’t be you! Honestly the trends have gotten to be too much. We romanticize past wedding eras and don’t think of them as cheesy or overdone but classic. You’ll apply that same nostalgia to your own wedding someday so I say do whatever you want and quit worrying what the internet tells you.

Ps. We will never not be obsessed with chartreuse.

👩‍🌾 Flower Farmer Highlight: Jembe Farms is owned by Jennifer and her husband Gabriel. They farm on 4.5 acres and farm by hand with a respect for the soil and the life within it.

LVF Floral has worked with Jenn since Day 1 of starting this business. We have grown together in such large ways, trying to plan what will be needed for the following year.

Jennifer is a true master of her craft- always looking to better the flowers she grows and produce large quantities to be able to sell to local florists, wholesalers, and the community. She produces the most stunning stems!

We’re thrilled to continue working and growing together at OPFM. We currently have hanging baskets available from Jenn and just like everything she has her hands in they are absolutely beautiful. Baskets make the perfect Mother’s Day gift!

We unfortunately couldn’t make it to vendor mixer last week at , and it’s totally fine, no one has FOMO or anything about it.

Obviously, the beach and the A-frame bring the drama at Agate Beach, but don’t count out the forest. Love this set up from a past styled shoot. I know wedding trends are always a hot topic, but I don’t think hiking boots with a wedding dress will ever go out of “style”.
