Long, solo cruises are great for clearing the mind. Evidently, spinning the cranks is a good mental, physical and emotional lubricant for dealing with life. Wrestled a couple demons into submission and out ran a couple more. Could have out run em all, of if I had the keys to the General Lee. No way I could have out run Gator McClusky though.

Short ride on the roads inside MSSP - gather at 6:00 at the Bikers Parking Lot, wheels roll 6:30. No park pass? No problem!

Absolutely beautiful Scott Addict RC 20 for a Mr. Darby. She a big girl (XXL) but doesn’t feel like it. That Ultegra Di2 is as super smooth as the paint on her.

Early MTB culture was certainly adventurous. Who knew hippies on bikes would prove to drive such innovation? The documentary, “Klunkers” delves into the birth of mountain biking and the people who drove it. Great watch, if you’ve never seen it.

When we started building frames in 1981 in Mendocino, California, we were housed in a small shop that our founder Scot built. The shop had a greenhouse attached that may or may not have been used to grow cash crops that helped augment the start up costs of a new business.

Levon likes to ride in the truck…especially when it goes to the bank. The sweet teller lady gives him a treat. Same at Walgreens. Only problem is that he thinks every drive through window gives a treat. He’s never disappointed for very long.

Big hat tip to these three for going into the pain cave up in Hot Springs, Arkansas and coming out alive and kickin’ Dan Blankenship did the LOViT or Leave iT 111 mile route in 12 hours and 30 minutes. Brandon Allen did the High Watch 202.8 mile route in 1 day, 11 hours and 14 minutes. Chad Brandon did the full Ouachita Doom 328.9 mile route in 2 days, 1 hour and 53 minutes. He placed 9th over all and 3rd in single speed. 🍻Hellova job boys!

Legend…

Sheldon Brown died on February 4, 2008. It is hard to believe he has been gone for 18 years. We miss him but he is alive in our hearts.
