Want to learn more about a hobby you can easily do from your bike? Join us for our first Birds on Bikes ride! 🐦 🚲

We will discuss the basics of birdwatching and learn some important skills before departing for a ~14 mile loop of Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge around the Blackwell Swamp and Buckeye areas. We will have at least 4 designated “birding stops” but be prepared to stop more depending on what we see! This is primarily a birding tour, so don’t expect an intense workout, but we are covering a good bit of mileage 😆

Bring binoculars if at all possible, as well as a bag or some way of attaching them to you/your bike.

Space is limited so that we can maximize our chances of seeing the most species, so register by emailing [email protected] or message

We had two groups tonight - what a turnout! There were several new faces and even a visit by while he was in town!

Join us for the next one 🚴🏼‍♂️ We meet every Monday (weather permitting) for a ride start of 5:45 from the Biker’s Parking Lot at Monte Sano State Park. Must have a working mtb, helmet, and $5 or a state park pass. No rider left behind.
