The countdown begins! The Festival kicks off two weeks from today on Thursday May 30 at The Casual Pint (Huntsville), where The Cigar Box Guitar Store and Originally Huntsville team up for all original music performed by local artists on cigar box instruments. Music begins at 7:00 pm with trio Lowelife, followed by one-man band John Nickel and concluding with local favorite Tim Cannon Music. There will be three more days of events at four other locations, including rock and blues on Friday night; music, dancing and kids activities during the day on Saturday; an evening concert with Grammy-winner Gary Nichols on Saturday night; and jazz brunch on Sunday. A long-lost artifact from the Queen's Chamber of the Great Pyramid in Giza has been rediscovered in Aberdeen. The relic was dated to somewhere between 3341 and 3094 BC, long before the construction of the pyramid.
