Hudson was so much more than a friend to us; he was a devoted champion of everything Catskill. He loved this town deeply and poured his heart into making it a better place. Whether through his work on the Tree Council, the CLDC, Cultivate Catskill, or as one of the initiators of the Catskill Winter Solstice, his impact on our community was profound.

A beautiful tribute to his life’s work is currently on view at the Thomas Cole House — Hudson Talbott: Shining Objects, A Career Retrospective, running through May 24, 2026. A celebration of an extraordinary talent and a beloved member of our community.

There will be a gathering to celebrate his life and legacy this Sunday at 3:00 PM at the Thomas Cole House.

We miss him dearly, but his spirit will live on in the town he loved so much!
