Hey everyone. Need your help. It's been an amazing day hete on the farm with renos. We discovered a pair of doors behind a wall believed to be original main entrance to the house. The two doors are from different eras.
We van identify the era of the 1st door shown, cream with glass but are stumped about the 2nd which is hand made and appears to be much much older. Any ideas of the era of the 2nd door with the 3 tiny glass panes?? @ Climax, New York

What would you do? I have a question for everyone. Need your help. We demoed an area in the butlers pantry today getting ready to install french doors that will lead to the dining room. When taking out an area of flooring to put in the new door jam we discovered the original wormy chestnut wide plank floors in our home. Omg. You didn't want to hear my excitement.
On top is oak flooring, vintage in great condition but just needs to be refinished which is no big deal. We have the original exposed beams in the ceiling in the dining room.
So question of the day.. What would you do. Rip up the oak floor and take a chance that the chestnuts aren't ruined underneath which would mean relaying the oak floor again or just refinishing the oak. What's your opinion??

Greetings, Thanks so much for taking a few minutes of your time to learn more about us.
You may be wondering why you are seeing SILO41 Apothecary products popping up on the Violet & Rose Vintage Co. Shop. Well let me explain a little for you.
As we are all very aware we as a nation we are a midst of changing times.
As a small business we have had to take a step back and reevaluate business as we have known it.
With the increasing need for people to stay home and shop online more we have had to take into considerations what is best for us as a company and what is best for our customers.
SILO41 Apothecary has had it's own ETSY shop for awhile now and much of our business is actually conducted at our local farmers markets & markers markets here locally in our area. We have offered some of our best selling wares on ETSY to make it easier for customers who are not from our area but have visited with us while here a source to shop for products they love and want to restock in their homes.
A little about SILO41 Apothecary & Peace Ridge Farm:
SILO41 is a small family run old fashioned apothecary shop which uses the herbs & botanicals grown on our own farm to produce exceptional quality natural products for mind, body & spirit. We offer an array of products that are created to be good for you as well as the earth. Our offerings embrace the ways of Mother Nature and what she has supplied us with to live a more natural sustainable lifestyle.
We take great pride in providing our customers products that they can feel good about while they are making you feel good as a whole.
So in these times of change we have had to steer our company in the direction of online sales more than ever before. It is something that we have been working on slowly until this time of need has presented itself.
We feel that by combining both shops into one we can
1- offer our customers a way to save money by combining shipping on all of our offerings.

In times of crisis I am not one to panic. Keeping a level head helps us all to be safe and prepared.
I must say that seeing a scene like this in the local grocery store is very disturbing and can rattle even the calmest of people.
Think . plan not only for the moment but the future ahead.
It is time to stay clear headed, and know that this too shall come to pass but put in place ways to feel more secure in any crisis.
Plant a garden yeild the harvest, preserve. Waste not natural resources, create a sustainable lifestyle. All of our futures depend upon this.
