A year ago, I decided to dip my toe into the water of growing Daliahs. If you know daliahs, you know they are an act of hard work, a careful eye, and lots of love…

I started with 10 varieties last year, learned a great deal about seperating tubers and over wintering them (a lot by what not to do)… In September I got caught up in a dahlia scandal and single handedly decided to “go after the bad guy” on behalf of 88 people as well as my self. 🤣 never mind that I was only out $48… This redulted in talking with detectives, lawyers, the AG of Tennessee, police departments around the country, offers of jobs for detective work in two locations, and after literally 100 hours of work, flower justice was served… 🤷🏻‍♀️

Now here I am, one full year in. I have nearly 30 varietals… we’ll see where this next year takes me… 🌺 here’s to the start of another growing season….

This young man is home for the summer. He’s thrilled to be back among his friends, family and the wildness of Montana.

But I want to take just a moment to say how proud I am for him wanting to leave, to push himself into new territory. It is never easy leaving what you know and where you feel safe, for something unknown.

In February he left Montana to play baseball in Vegas. A place where his natural talent and instinct is being cultivated into so much more. Two evenings ago he was given the award of best new recruit. Stading along side of some of the best ball players in Las Vegas.

*note: he looks small standing on this stage next to these other young men. He’s 13 and the boys on either side of him are 16. 🤣

Lip Gloss vs Lip Treatment.

When we first came up with the idea of making a gloss here at Recherch'e (note we had lip products when we first opened for business in 2011 also...) We wanted to reimagine what a gloss could be. I am a girl straight out of the 90's and love a good shine, but I also knew that it could be soooo much more. So I set to work creating a gloss that is meant for women... Packed with Ceremides and Hyaluronic Acid and deep nutrients to heal and plump the lips.

Pout is what we formulated.

Why Ceremides?
Ceramides restore the lip barrier. They reinforce structure, reduce moisture loss, and help lips stay smooth beyond just surface shine. Instead of coating the lips, they support long-term hydration—so lips don’t just look better, they feel and function better too.

We decided to couple this with Hyaluronic Acid. Why? Because almost no other companies are doing it, and HA
draws and holds water within the lips, creating immediate softness and plumpness. It enhances hydration on the surface while supporting a smoother, more supple appearance. Instead of relying on oils alone, it brings true water-based hydration—so lips feel fuller, not just coated.

We combine these top shelf ingredients with nutrient dense oils such as meadow foam and castor oil to create the perfect shine + true hydration. Over time, lips will likely appear fuller and less creased, which anyone born before 1990 will likely enjoy.

Soooo... We've been keeping a secret.

Some of you may remember when we started working on this product about 18 months ago. It has gone through a few iterations since then, but FINALLY our lip gloss/lip serum is complete. It goes on sale, officially on the 28th, but we wanted to give you a little peek now... Over the next couple of days we'll be chatting about why this lip gloss is different from literally any other one on the market. We promise, this product has been worth the wait! And for those on our email list, do you remember helping to name this product "POUT"?

It is important to us that we are on the right side of doing what's right for the planet...

Here at Recherch'e, we take vast strides to use appropriate packaging all the way down to our labels. That we use ingredients that have been harvested in the safest ways possible, both for the earth and the people who harvest them. We strive to use companies that pay fair wages to people who are collecting the plant material that later ends up in YOUR products.

We take a stand in our communities because if not here, then where? There is a great deal that goes into what we do. And I sincerely hope that it comes across that we care.

Many of you know that we White Label for other companies. Over the last 5-7 years it has become a pretty big part of what I do. I love bringing other people's ideas to the forefront and having the capacity to manufacture something from dream into reality.

I was introduced to this beautiful woman a few short months ago. And when I say her vision for what she is creating deeply resonates with me, even that would be an understatement. Over the years, many people have come to me with mediocre (at best) ideas, and finding ways to tell them that, gently...and reframe their concepts can be hard. But not with this lady.

She is creating a spectacular space called Homage. It is a guest resort of sorts where everything created is intentional. Made to slow a person down so they don't forget to take in just how beautiful life is. We are working in tandem with Amber to create the perfect guest amenities to round out her cabins and lodging. In time, we will be using plants grown on the property to infuse into her products. It isn't often that my background as an herbalist and manufacturer come into perfect blend with someone else's dream. But with this, the fit is nearly perfect.

Here is to the beautiful new Guest Ranch Homage, opening in the valley later this Spring.

It's been a while since I made an introduction post... so here it goes.
Hi there, it's me, Hillari.

I am the founder and creative force behind all things Recherch'e Organics. I started this little co. in 2011 on the heels of massive family upheaval... And with a lot of hard work, a little bit of luck and prayer, it has grown into what you see today.

Here's a short list of things that I love.
1. Adventure, especially if it includes hot springs and unique places
2. I love flowers, growing them, tending them, fresh flowers for my table. And Peonies are a long standing favorite.
3. I have two sons. 10 years apart. One is through college, and the other plays high level baseball in Las Vegas
4. I love to cook but can not bake anything except bread.
5. Books are my thing. A glass of wine, a fireplace, a good book and a cozy blanket, and it's going to be a hard pass getting me out of my house...
6. I taught dance with my bestie for 10 years. These days I just hope to find a partner to partner dance with...
7. If I collect anything it would be antiques. I like things well crafted and with a history.

Here at Recherch'e we love exfoliation but not too much... I stand firm when I say that there is rare occasion to exfoliate more than every 7-10 days.

When done properly, your skin glows.
When done too often, your skin can become dry, inflamed, and raw feeling.

We have two main vehicles for exfoliation in our product lineup.
1. Pomegranate Enzyme Peel
2. Three variations of Clay Masks.

Both have their place, but they are executed slightly differently.

Pom Peel: This is put on after washing face. Your skin should be damp, apply product, then allow to sit for 10-20 minutes on your skin while it dries. The pomegranate fermentation enzymes eat the Keratin, what holds the dead and dying skin onto the live and vibrant skin underneath. Allowing for a gentle sloughing of dead and dying skin cells when washed off. This leaves your skin silky smooth.

Clay masks: This product is used in a two fold way. Mix and apply the mask to your face. What you'll notice as it dries, it is pulling oil and gunk from your pores. This in time, helps shrink pore size, clean out pores, and with the gentle rubbing action when washing off, takes off dead and dying skin cells, hence the exfoliation.

We love both of these products and believe you will too when used correctly. Do you have a favorite between these?
