Each month features a different yarn. This month is Woodland. This 80/20 blend of Merino and alpaca strikes a harmonious balance between rustic warmth and refined elegance. With just enough alpaca to enhance its softness and thermal efficiency, this mostly Merino yarn is ideal for cold woodland winters while still being gentle against the skin.

Gently spun with a loose twist, Woodland provides excellent drape and insulation while maintaining the structure needed for durable, well-defined stitches. Unlike its tweed counterpart, Woodland offers a smooth, sophisticated finish that highlights its natural beauty.

The high Merino content gives it a springy texture, making cables and textured stitch patterns really stand out. Whether you’re knitting a cabled pullover or a gansey sweater, this yarn works beautifully for cottagecore and classic designs alike. Embrace the warmth and beauty of Woodland for your next knitting project!

This yarn is great for:

- Sweaters
- Winter Accessories
- Blankets

Why Dishie Yarn Is a Dream for Dish Towels & Washcloths

If you’re looking for the perfect cotton yarn to make dish towels and washcloths, Dishie from is hands-down one of the best choices out there. I’ve worked with a LOT of cotton yarns over the years, and Dishie truly stands out for every kitchen and cleaning project you can imagine.

Right from the first stitch, Dishie feels wonderful in your hands — soft enough to enjoy knitting, but with the sturdiness you want for everyday use. Unlike some scratchy cottons that make your hands tired, Dishie glides nicely on your needles and keeps your stitches neat and defined.

The fabric you get from Dishie is just thick and textured enough to be super absorbent without being bulky. And because it’s cotton, everything is machine washable — a must for kitchen projects!

Dishie comes in a fun variety of colors, so whether you like bright happy hues or calm neutrals, you can make sets that match your kitchen or make lovely handmade gifts. And the best part? The colors stay vibrant even after repeated washing.

This yarn is a joy to knit Even if you’re a newer knitter, you’ll be amazed at how quickly you can whip up a gorgeous, functional towel or washcloth.

Most importantly — Dishie makes towels and cloths you’ll actually use. They don’t pill up or get wonky after a few washes.

Overall it’s my favorite cotton yarn to knit with- hands down!

Reading 1 book a month = 12 books a year.

That’s not ‘behind’—that’s AMAZING.

Literacy isn’t a race.

Comprehension, enjoyment, and consistency matter more than speed.

One book a month builds:

✔️ Vocabulary

✔️ Focus

✔️ Confidence

✔️ A lifelong habit

Reading less than someone else doesn’t mean you’re failing—it means you’re human.

This goes for both parents and kids!

What book is on your to be read list? I’d love to add it to mine too!

Kids don’t become readers by pressure—they become readers by confidence.

They don’t have to read fast.
They don’t have to read every day.
They don’t have to read like anyone else.

If a child loves stories in any form, they are a reader. 💕
That belief is where lifelong literacy begins.

What’s your child’s favorite way to enjoy books?

Yarn storage!

I’ve found that buying yarn and actually using it are 2 completely different hobbies 🤣🤷🏻‍♀️

Some of it I store in my closet by type of yarn- cotton, wool, acrylic, etc.

Then in those little plastic drawers, I store all of my current WIPs (works in progress).

How do you store your yarn?
