Wednesday August 19, 2026 is just as humid, to start at least, as yesterday so that means it’s pretty humid out there...but it’s still a Wednesday and here, inside the comic shop, you know what that means...it means it’s time for Comics AGAIN!.
This week’s offerings are a bit short and sweet as far as new issue 1s go but there’s a buncha stuff worth your attention. Like how DC’s got no 1s but does add Static to the NEW TITANS in issue 38! Hey Static fans! Heads up! Marvel’s got a new Spider-book written by none other than Kevin Smith! So Kevin Smith fans should really be grabbing SPIDER-MAN / HULK FIRE AND BRIMSTONE. THOR hits issue 800 this week featuring a nice little backup story by our pal Declan that’s all about Mjölnir. Sean Murphy’s THE LAST DRIVER is a mega widescreen comic bound at what would normally be the top of your average comic. If this is your first widescreen style comic don’t worry...it’ll still fit into your usual bag n board combo! Oh yea the BUG WARS are back in THE COMING OF THE WARDOOM (may say War Room in the video but who can even say...) so it’s time to head back to the backyard world of Conan-esque adventures. There’s also an all new EC Comics instalment hitting today in SHELLSHOCK aaaaaand TAILSPIN is getting a brand new comic series too. When was the last time you checked in with that delivery team?!
