NEW SIGNING Announcement!

Join us on Friday July 3rd from 5:30-7:30pm as we welcome cartoonist R. Sikoryak to Old City just in time for the madness of the July 4th weekend festivities AND 250th Anniversary extravaganza! The eyes of the Nation will be on Philly during the Welcome America Celebration and yours should be on the pages of his brand new book from Drawn & Quarterly DECLARATION / EMANCIPATION! The event will be, as always, FREE to ATTEND so mark your calendars and get yourself over here for what’s sure to be a fun time!

R. Sikoryak, the cartoonist who cemented his reputation as the king of the visual mash-up with Masterpiece Comics and The Unquotable Trump, sets his sights on the document that explained to the world why America’s thirteen colonies were to be sovereign states. A prequel of sorts to his Constitution Illustrated, Sikoryak presents the unabridged text of the Declaration of Independence alongside the Emancipation Proclamation and the Gettysburg Address in a double sided book, rendered in the bright, bold, and iconic styles of over 100 different American comics, cartoons, and graphic novels from over a century.

Alrighty then it’s another Wednesday! Wed June 10, 2026 to be exact and when it’s Wed you know what that means...it means it’s time for another Comics AGAIN!…

This week DC’s unleashing the brand new ABSOLUTE CATWOMAN series AND putting out the looooooooong awaited final issue of BATMAN THE GARGOYLE OF GOTHAM. WHEN did that series even start?! Marvel’s BIG Avengers story by Chip Zdarsky starts today in AVENGERS ARMAGEDDON while that dynamic duo from outside the Quick Stop catch the eye of some of the BIG bads in the MCU. Oh and Bishop is back to doing what Bishop does best in a new BISHOP X-book. The Energon Uni expands to a fourth title & 3rd toy line with the addition of MASK to the mix and they even did BLIND BAGS for this one too! M1 is here to add Monster Racing to the world of Japanese street racing (you’ve seen Tokyo Drift so you know it’s cool) while TANKERS VS ANCIENT ALIENS goes back in time to try to keep the dinos alive a little longer so Oil Corporations can get more oil now. Godzilla’s getting in on this whole The ODYSSEY resurgence w/ his own take on the Classical tale. While He-Man (hey he’s got a movie right now) and Tarzan (hey he doesn’t have a movie right now) are both running around shirtless in their new series. SKATE ALI is here to add some skate tricks to your pulls as Tiny Onion and Dark Horse comics drop a new PRIDE Special featuring Monsters!

All this and more are going to be on our shelves as soon as our doors open today so hurry on down before we sell out of AbsoCats or MASK bags! Nah you don’t have to worry. We’ve got a lot of them BUUUUT if you’re worried about us selling out of stuff remember that you can always sign up for a PULL LIST and put these (and any other titles you’re looking forward to) to a SUBSCRIPTION to take that stress away. A set it and forget it sorta thing. AND we even have a way you can manage your SUBS in a more proactive way if you’re a real hands on and specific type of comics collector.

It’s Wednesday June 3, 2026 and we’re starting off Pride Month with a signing today at Brave New Worlds Comics in Old CIty with local comics author Jadzia Axelrod from 12-2pm (so if you’re reading this/seeing this before noon get yourself down here) but other than that it’s Wed so that means it’s time for !...

There are a few reprints to address printing errors on some DC titles a few weeks back. Want a “better copy” bring in your old one and we can swap ‘em out for ya! Otherwise DC’s got a new Supergirl comic, a brand new take on Deadman from the creators behind the weirdo hit Ice Cream Man, AND there’s the new WEEKLY Pride Event comic series JUSTICE LEAGUE DREAM GIRLS that starts today. That’s the book that Jadzia will be in the store signing! Marvel’s got some X-Men offerings. One’s a What If...? for the Uncanny X-Men and the other is new X-Men ‘97. We know you’re all waiting for the next installment of that cartoon series to hit your Disney+ streaming service so why not check out the comic to get a lil fix. The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers have an all new series starting today so get in on the ground floor in Angel Grove (we still in Angel Grove?) for a new Power Rangers series!

Other than alla that we’ve got piles and piles of comics out today, last week, the week before ect for you to check out when you stop in today! PLUS we’ve got JADZIA AXELROD today IN-STORE signing her brand new JUSTICE LEAGUE DREAM GIRLS 1 from 12-2pm. Don’t miss it! Get the new series signed! Get her GALAXY graphic novels signed! Wednesdays May 27, 2026 seems to be starting out like all the other Weds recently...it’s kinda just wet and blah out there BUT have no fear because when it’s Wed that means it’s time for !

This week DC’s BATMAN HUSH 2 (H2SH) wraps up it’s part one while also launching a new Elseworlds take on Superman featuring Jor-El crash landing on Earth. Marvel’s got a new Dr Doom book for the Doom fans out there so be sure to check out DOOMQUEST if that sounds like you. WICCAN and HULKLING have a Marvel Voices Pride one shot for their fans looking to kick off June in style. Speaking of Pride and kicking off June in style we’ll be having a signing on Wed June 3 from 12-2pm w/ local author Jadzia Axelrod! Yeah she’ll be here to sign her all-new weekly Pride DC Pride miniseries JUSTICE LEAGUE: DREAM GIRLS (part one drops that very day!) and her brand new GALAXY: AS THE WORLD FALLS DOWN graphic novel (out right now!). So be sure to stop by early next Wed for some signed comics! Are signed comics your thing?
