Why buy an effect pedal that was hand made in the USA using quality components when you can get 5 Donner Chinese mass-produced pedals for the same price?
It's a valid question.

Free info for those who want to be informed.
Over the years, I've replaced many pickups, sometimes because the stock pickup died. You start to see trends. The #1 most frequently dead pickups? Fender noiseless.
I've rewound a few and have more sitting here. Absolutely open coil.
It's a shame. Even the Fender QuadraBucker (or whatever it was called) is not impervious to failure. Whatever the construction method, it seems that when Fender tries to get fancy, they make undependable pickups.
Oh, and the Gen 4 noiseless are really weak pickups!

No wonder modern music sucks. Young musicians don't want to learn anything. They don't take the time to understand music or their gear. Sometimes, online, I offer to clarify people's misconceptions or misinformation. What do I get?
A big Gif saying,
"WE DON'T CARE".
No wonder some musicians are buying terrible gear. They refuse to do any research and learn about their job/hobby/passion/obsession. Sad.

If you have a popular model Gibson, good luck selling it. Posts I see online about individuals selling Gibson guitars are met with 50% comments saying it's not a real Gibson, even if it is.
This will breed suspicion rapidly and nobody will want to take a chance on buying a $1000++ guitar that might be worth more like $100.
Anyone supporting counterfeits has contributed to a really screwed up guitar market. Counterfeits are in stores now, and can even be seen in some GC stores. Poor Gibson is probably spending their last dime fighting this, and will probably come out of this bankrupt. Think about that a minute.

"Selling counterfeit merchandise is a federal crime in the U.S., resulting in severe penalties including up to 10 years in prison and $5 million in fines for first-time offenders."

Sunday morning editorial. Chinese guitars (again).
The influx of Chinese counterfeit guitars has not only damaged U.S. guitar makers, but also their customers. Most posts featuring photos of an electric guitar will have comments claiming it's a fake, even if it isn't. People are so thrilled with their $250 purchase of a counterfeit that they look to China for cheap "upgrades". Now the entire parts market is shifting because people want to replace $10 pickups and tuners with $10 pickups and tuners.
What we are ending up with is a ton of counterfeit guitars with inferior parts, inferior replacement parts, and owners thinking it's as good as the U.S. counterpart. Nobody shops based on tone or playability (the big two). Every purchase is based on price.

Closed until further notice.
But, there will be a going out of business sale. Lots of guitars and guitar parts. Tubes, speakers, pedals...you name it.

Guitars and China 101: Be Informed!!
Q: Can you legally sell a chinese name brand guitar if you call it a copy?
A: No, it is generally illegal to sell a counterfeit Chinese guitar—even if you disclose it is a "copy," "fake," or "replica". Selling products that use trademarked logos (e.g., Gibson, Fender) without permission violates intellectual property laws. While owning one is usually fine, selling, importing, or distributing them constitutes trafficking in counterfeit goods.

Happy Friday morning! Anyone else wish the big guitar companies bring back the walnut finish? Seemed to be popular in the 1980s, but almost vanished in favor of more vintage finishes like cherry or sunburst. It's time for walnut to make a comeback!
