Hey everyone - Reed-bot here, take some time today to say happy birthday to Steven Andrew Morrissey! We did a birthday ride this morning in celebration. Check out Steve riding at around 15 years old! He still makes that face when he corners but definitely doesn’t tuck his sweatpants into his socks anymore.

First official group ride from our new location! We did our typical gravel loop through Raven’s Woods and Rocky Neck which came out to be about 15-16 miles from the parking lot. There will be many more!

Greetings to all of our amazing customers. Today we share some bitter-sweet news: Morrissey Cycles is moving! We will be moving back to where it all began - 8 Methodist St in Niantic. As many of you know, this is the location of where Niantic Bay Bicycles currently is, but it is also the first bike shop that Steve opened almost 20 years ago!

Niantic Bay Bicycles is wrapping up operations and Steve will be spinning wrenches in that building in no time. In between moving and packing, we will remain open in Old Lyme. We are unsure of an official Grand Opening date but we will be sure to let you know when everything is up and running.

To those of you who have consignment bikes/equipment at Morrissey Cycles - your consignment agreement will still stand at the new location. Fortunately, the move is not very far (8 miles by bike!) so please reach out if you have any questions.

We are sad to be leaving the community of Old Lyme, who has welcomed us with open arms. We will look back on the time in Old Lyme very fondly. At the same time, we are very excited to be returning to the community most of us already belong to!

Greetings Dearest Customers,

We would like to inform everyone that starting on Tuesday, 7/15, we will be increasing our service rates in an effort to remain competitive in our corner of the world.

This means that you can take advantage of our current tune-up prices as long as you bring your bike in for a tune-up today (7/11) and/or tomorrow (7/12)!

Thank you all for your continued support and we look forward to servicing all of your cycling needs!

We will be closing shop at 2pm on Friday, June 27th and CLOSED all of Saturday, June 28th. We'll be reopening at our normal business hours on Tuesday, July 1st.
