FREE ROLE PLAYING GAME DAY 2026!

Mindgames And Magic is currently recruiting Storytellers, both amateur and professional, for our big Free RPG Day event!

Free RPG Day is June 27, 2026!
Free RPG Day works with top RPG publishers to create the can’t miss RPG event of the year at specialty game stores around the world.

Participating retailers will receive a treasure trove of new and exclusive RPG adventures, previews, and accessories to provide an unparalleled day of roleplaying celebration.

Attendees will get to snag cool exclusives, play new games, and be surrounded by like-minded gamers!

What is Free RPG Day?
Free RPG Day is an annual global event that takes place each June, in which tabletop RPG publishers provide free modules, quick start guides and accessories to participating Friendly Local Game Stores (FLGS). The objective of the day is to raise awareness of the TTRPG hobby and to drive traffic to retailers.

First launched in 2007, the event has since grown and now includes over 700 stores worldwide and has included a rotating partnership of publishers that includes Paizo, Chaosium, Kobold Press, Free League Publishing, Goodman Games and other major TTRPG brands (although notably, Wizards of the Coast and the D&D brand has not participated).

When is Free RPG Day in 2026?
This year’s Free RPG Day will take place on June 27th, 2026. Notably, most previous years take place towards the last Saturday of the month.

Which publishers are participating in Free RPG Day 2026?

There are 30 unique tabletop RPG publishers and accessory makers participating in this year’s event. Below, we’ve listed them all, including the systems they’re promoting and the specific products they offer at participating stores.

The Summer is here!
Summer Youth Sessions are starting up this Monday!

Starting June 1st, 2026 we will be hosting our 5th Annual Summer Youth Sessions during the weekdays along with our already established Youth programs!

That's right! Get your younglings out from behind those screens this Summer and enrolled in our widely popular Summer Youth Sessions.

And if they can't start right away, they can join later with no difficulty.

Youth Sessions and Mindgames And Magic have become the premier place to bring your kids to either learn to play or enjoy playing with other children in a safe and accepting environment.

Youth DnD members are taught the game mechanics, positive social skills, problems solving, world building, character management, and so much more! Youth players get to enjoy the session in a private gaming room, use of miniatures and terrain, music and mood lighting, costumes/cosplay, and unique tales of adventure specifically tailored to the players.

-Youth 11 - 17 years of age.
