To anyone who knew my dad Shawn....we will be having a celebration of life for him on august 1st from 5-9 at hidden valley park in blue springs mo. To those that are wondering, he passed away from heart failure due to a cardiac disease. Everyone is invited to this celebration.... the more the merrier...my dad was a very social guy and always said he wanted a giant party if anything ever happened to him. He never wanted a sad funeral but instead wanted a party full of laughter and good stories so that is what we will do!! We will have bbq, drinks, music and lots of laughs. Please feel free to stop by and sign a book that I will have for my dad...I would love to fill it up with all the great stories everyone has about him!! This will be very informal and open house style. Feel free to share this post! Please comment if you think you might attend so we can plan the amount of food we will need!

From Amy....to anyone who knew my dad, Shawn McConnell...the owner of fanboy toys sadly he passed away on may 25th. Thank you everyone for ur kind words and condolences. We currently do not know why he passed and are awaiting further results from his autopsy. In accordance with his final written wishes he is being cremated and he did not wish to have any formal services....instead he always wanted a celebration of life full of laughter, stories and good food.....so at some point in the near future we will be making these arrangements and we will keep everyone updated on the dates and times. Until then feel free to have a celebration on ur own wherever you may live. We appreciate all the people that have reached out and offered help with all of my dads affairs and to help my family and for everyones condolences....at this time we are respectfully requesting that no one make any travel plans to come see us now as we want u to wait and travel for his celebration of life...we are currently working on handling all of his affairs and making plans but we need some time and privacy to do so...we dont knownthe future of fanboys just yet but we will keep everyone updated....i know many people have offered help and we will definitely reach out when we need help...thank you everyone for your understanding and your kind words...it has meant a lot to us!
