🌙💙 Supporting Safe Sleep for Every Baby in Vigo County

Rook’s Resources Inc. is proud to partner with Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN to promote safe sleep practices for newborns and their families right here in Vigo County. Thanks to your incredible generosity, we’ve launched a new effort to ensure every baby goes home with a sleep sack they can grow into.

These sleep sacks do more than keep little ones cozy — they play a vital role in safe sleep. By replacing loose blankets, sleep sacks help reduce risks associated with unsafe sleep environments and support the ABCs of safe sleep: Alone, on their Back, and in a Crib. It’s a simple tool that can make a meaningful difference in a child’s well‑being.

Your donations are directly impacting the health and safety of families in our community, and we are deeply grateful for your partnership. Together, we’re helping every baby start life with comfort, protection, and the safest sleep possible.

📚 Introducing Carmine’s Cart Riley Children's Health

In a hospital room, time can feel heavy. Days are long, emotions are deeper, and even the smallest moments matter.

That’s why we’re so proud to share that Carmine’s Cart was launched in April 2026 in the new Neonatal Progressive Care Unit (NPCU) at Riley.

Created by Rook’s Resources, this simple book cart is meant to bring something powerful into those moments—connection, comfort, and hope. A story read at a bedside. A parent’s voice heard by their baby. A reminder that even in uncertainty, there is still warmth and love.

This initiative is deeply personal to us and rooted in our mission to support NICU families through compassion, knowledge, and storytelling.

Happy Mother’s Day, everyone!
Because of your incredible generosity, this year we were able to deliver nearly 200 Mother’s Day gifts to moms at Eskenazi, Riley, and Union hospitals—each one a small reminder that they are seen, supported, and celebrated on a day that can be especially meaningful during their hospital stay.
To every donor who made this possible: thank you. Your kindness reached far beyond a simple gift. You helped create moments of comfort, joy, and dignity for mothers who needed it most. Whether it was a note, a contribution, or your time, you played a direct role in making these women feel cared for and appreciated.
At Union Hospital, we were also able to serve Jimmy John’s to families—adding another layer of warmth and support to the day. These shared moments of community truly brought the spirit of Mother’s Day to life.

On January 5, 2026 the ATO Show published a podcast that featured the work we have been doing and our upcoming walk and cause.

I shared this podcast with some family, and there were details throughout that even they didn’t realize. If you have the time, take a listen. Our story is just like so many others that are seldom told. My hope is to create space for these stories to be uplifted and hold value in our hearts for change.

This year Rook’s Resources donated 100 gift bags between the Maternity Tower and Simon Family Tower at Riley Children's Health, Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC), and the Eskenazi Hospital NICU. Thank you for your donations and we hope moms everywhere were shown love yesterday and everyday for all they do!

The last 2 days could not have gone any better. We avoided the weather, and I really don’t have words for the efforts from for their commitment, planning, and donations. This could be the start of something really special for years to come!
