Where will you be on Saturday? Will you be listening to the free Healdsburg Jazz Concert in the Plaza? Join me there to Knit in Public!

How fantastic is it that Knit in Public Day coincides with the free public concert for the Jazz Festival. What can be more inspiring to knit to?

Last year's Knit in Public day coincided with a peaceful protest so some of our signs reflected that as Americans we are free to make choices. This year, I choose to knit!

Look for me, somewhere in the shade on a purple blanket, from 2:00pm-??? The concert goes until 8:00pm! Definitely bring your crafts, bring your spirit, and let's support free jazz in public while we knit!

(I have been asked what is on the beanie: it is my artful(?) rendition of the symbol for the Healdsburg Jazz Festival: a trumpet wine-glass. The pattern is available at the shop. Maybe I will be working on an improved version at the concert? Drop by and check it out!)

Wine Country Yarn Hop is less than 6 weeks away. Are you ready? Is your bunny ready? There is a bunny contest so you must get ready.

Purls of Joy wants to help you be prepared to hop-a-long with your fellow crafters. Join us for our Bunny KAL starting Thursday, June 25. We are making a happy bunny that requires no sewing. And we will make our bunny some clothes!

Have you ever doodled? Doodles are tiny patterns that you combine for making unique patterns. We will teach you how to combine patterns to create a one-of-a-kind beanie just for you. If beanies are not your thing, you can follow the same process to create many items.

Join us and doodle your way to fun beginning on Thursday, June 11, 3:00-5:00pm. If Thursday afternoon doesn't work, you can always join us on Saturday morning. We would love to doodle with you!

Learn to Doodle with Purls of Joy!

If you have never used Pacific Knit Company's Doodle Decks, you must join us for this class beginning on June 11.

In this class you will learn all about how to combine doodles for a fun, custom beanie. If beanies are not your thing, choose a different project: a cowl, fingerless gloves, coasters... There are a myriad of options.

Doodles are fun for knitters and crocheters so we welcome all to this class.
