Meet Nils. Head luthier and the best right-hand man you could ever ask for. He's a damn fine luthier and one of the most creative fabricators in the business. We’re lucky to have him.

As much as we secretly enjoy hearing people pronounce his name wrong, for the record: it’s Nils. Not Mils, Bills, Niles, or Miles. Think “nil” — as in, if you don’t have Nils working on your guitar, you end up with nil.

We recently fixed up a 1954 Stratocaster for Jason Isbell. The original volume pot had finally given out and needed to be replaced to get the guitar back to being road-ready. We love seeing guitars that are played, not just hung on a wall. The show must go on...
