Nine events, the Enchantry’s beautiful debut, and how the shop is standing with friends through winter.

Dear STRŌB Community,

Welcome to November. We’ve got a full and beautiful month ahead, and some good things to share.

🌙 The Enchantry’s Debut Was Everything 🌙

Our Moonlight Market last Friday was lovely, and the surprise of the night was The Enchantry, our new custom perfume bar.

A note from Olivia:

“I had the best time making lovely, personal perfumes with everyone who sat down. Most only took 15 minutes each to co-create, start to finish. I hardly even noticed that three hours had passed and suddenly it was the end of the market.”

The Enchantry was such a hit that we’re adding it to our website as a bookable experience for pop-ups and private parties. If you’ve got a bridal shower, team gathering, birthday, or just a group of people who want to make something beautiful together, keep us in mind.

Sip tea curated for you while enjoying a relaxing sound bath. Stefani’s sound baths now have a regular rhythm, dates set through April!

🌿 Saturday, November 14 · 2-4pm · Sean’s Birthday Tea Blending Class 🌿 $45

Sean teaches tea blending on his actual birthday, using the plants he loves most. Rose, Catnip, Chamomile, Cinnamon and more. You’ll walk out with a custom blend you made yourself, tucked into a tin.

Fridays 3-6pm — Sean in the shop, with clinical herbalism mini-consults 3-6pm.

🕯️ Starting Wednesday: Meet the 9 Muses 🕯️

For the next 9 Wednesdays in a row, we’ll be introducing you to one of Olivia’s 9 Muses, the stories behind each perfume in our opening collection. Each one has a person, a moment, or a feeling that pulled it into being. Watch for the first one this Wednesday.

🫖 Standing with the Elfattah Family This Winter 🫖

Like every autumn since the war began, Gaza faces famine.

Halloween is Saturday. Sean’s birthday is two weeks away. Here’s what we’re planning.

🎃 First: Halloween at STRŌB 🎃
Saturday, October 31

At the shop, 12-4pm: Trick-or-treating all afternoon (come in costume, adults very much included), with drop-in tea leaf readings with Olivia from 1-3pm. Playful Pandas runs its regular 10-11am slot that morning for the tiniest costumes.

Shop closes promptly at 4pm so we can get over to Crofton Woods.

🔮 Crofton Woods Creatures Haunted House 🔮

We’re sponsoring the tarot & rune readings in the alcove at the haunted house this year. If you’re already going (or if this just gave you a reason to), come find us for a card pull or a rune reading in the perfect setting.

Here’s the thing about Sean.

He’s one of the most generous, warm, deeply kind humans we know. He gives his whole self to this work and to the people who walk through our doors, in every mini-clinical, in every quiet conversation across the counter. He’s the kind of friend you feel lucky to have, and we feel that way about him every single day.

So when Sean told us he wanted to spend his birthday at the shop, with his STRŌB community around him, we said immediately, "Yes!!! Let’s throw you a party."

🫖 The Class: Tea Blending with Sean 🫖
Saturday, November 14 · 2-4pm · $45

Sean is teaching tea blending on his actual birthday, using the plants he loves most.

He’ll walk you through four of his longtime favorites, Rose, Catnip, Chamomile, and Cinnamon, plus a generous spread of supporting herbs to pull from. You’ll learn how he thinks about each plant, what each one brings to a cup, and how to build a blend that feels just right for you. By the end of class, you’ll have a custom tea you blended yourself, tucked into a special tin to take home.

He wanted to spend his birthday the way he spends his best days: hands in the herbs, surrounded by people who want to learn.

Includes 2 hours of hands-on instruction with Sean, all herbs and blending supplies, and a tin of your custom blend to take home. Bring a notebook if you like to take notes.

Six years of this. 🌿

We opened STRŌB in October 2020 with five people, a handful of herbs, and the belief that a community apothecary could actually work in Crofton, Maryland. Six years later, the door is still open.

We’re Olivia and Sean. Clinical aromatherapist and perfumer. Clinical herbalist and mental health herbalist. Co-owners of a shop we built on love, abundance, and a whole lot of loose leaf tea.

This video was filmed at our 6th birthday party, a bake-off where every dollar raised went to a family we love. That’s who we are. We celebrate by sharing.

Thank you to every person who has walked through our door and made this place what it is. We’re just getting started. 🫖

(The front of the house is pretty tame for scares, but if you go past the fortune-teller's corner, you'll end up in a backyard full of animatronics and "scarers").
