The Petal Thing Blooming with Korean Tradition

The flower bar has a new little home in the studio.

Come in during our open hours and choose whatever stems are speaking to you from our weekly selection. Bring your favorite vase and fill it yourself, or take your stems home lightly wrapped. No bouquet, no arranging by us — just beautiful flowers, by the stem, for you to play with however you want.

And for this week only, Monday through Wednesday, we’re opening up our entire shop selection to the flower bar. If it’s in the studio, you can pick it by the stem.

Come see what’s blooming this week.

Some bouquets start with a color palette. This one started with texture. I wanted every flower to bring something completely different, but somehow still belong together. A little wild, a little unexpected, and very hard to stop looking at.

Meet Centaurea dealbata, also known as the Persian cornflower. This soft, fringed bloom is native to the Caucasus region and is surprisingly a member of the thistle family. What looks like a single flower is actually made up of dozens of tiny florets, all working together to create its unique shape. It also has a long vase life, often lasting 7–10 days with proper care. My favorite thing about Centaurea is the texture it brings to an arrangement. It’s light, airy, and full of movement, adding interest without overpowering the other flowers. It’s one of those blooms that quietly ties an entire bouquet together while always making people stop and ask, “What is that?”

The best part of my job is knowing where these flowers are headed.

Designed to be felt.

Flowers don’t need to be predictable. I love creating bouquets that feel full of movement, texture, and little details that keep revealing themselves from every angle.

Every subscription arrangement is a new composition. Built one stem at a time, never repeated, always made just for that week.

The beauty of an all-white arrangement is in the details. Every bloom brings its own texture, shape, and movement.
