The beauty of leading worship, isn’t about making sure your always keeping the setlist fresh with new songs cause your tired of singing the old songs, it’s not about you specifically in any way. It is about creating a space for devotion and communion for all to join in and worship with you. That may require pulling up a song that everyone knows nd loves because they connect with God through it…..One of my favorite quotes whenever I go to a new place is “I come to worship God WITH you NOT for you” when YOU the participant join the worship leaders there is a beautiful shift that happens in our sacred gatherings. We ALL engage with our Heavenly Father and we all leave the present conditions of our everyday life to focus on Him. In the Word he says if we He be lifted up He will draw all men to himself John 12:32. This is a perfect example of the beauty of us all going up in worship together! No pumping, no priming, just beautiful worship that I was pleasantly surprised to hear while worshiping! I love to cheer on the saints in praise! Let’s go higher 🙌🏾🙌🏾
