“When we first moved to our current house the backyard was a wasteland. The dirt was like dust. I’ve been working every year to bring life back and to turn the dirt into living soil. When I dig into the earth and I see a worm I get very excited. I love ferns and since our backyard has a lot of shade, I turned to them to be my collaborators in my quest to bring life back into the dirt. Each spring it’s so exciting when the ferns awaken and start to unfurl.” - Bridgette Guerzon Mills

“I paint candlelight to study how a small, steady flame can illuminate an entire space. This special collection has taken years to build: each winter solstice I begin a new candle painting, using the longest night as a ritual starting point—when darkness is most present, and the renewal of longer daylight begins. I return to the candle as both a specific object and a shared symbol of celebration and devotion, wishes and romance, remembrance and grief.” - Sharon Cosgrove

Another Swift Tailor has landed!

You may recall a different version of Duy Huynh’s Swift Tailor from late last year. Always exploring his themes and characters - he gives them new life in various sizes, compositions and details. In this series he leans heavily into word play (a certain singer may come to mind), his love of birds (swifts are the fastest birds in level flight), saturated colors and a nod to sewing (in honor of his mother who was a seamstress).

Swift Tailor by Duy Huynh
18 x 14 x 2” acrylic on panel, $2200
