In lieu of travelling abroad this summer, the Little Unity team has begun an international romance-themed bookclub, which began with an utter TRIUMPH in the form of 'Livia in Rome', and we have been waxing poetic about Livia and Giulio ever since.
The next two choices have just arrived in-store and we can't wait to dive in – any suggestions for where we should travel to next?
Review :
Livia lives in Scotland, but her heart beats for Rome. When she and her mother fly across the world to help the family business – an old-school Italian bar – to get back on track, she worries she might not be local enough for her new position. Her co-worker Giulio is perfectly perfect: a very Italian, annoyingly handsome, vespa-riding golden boy that everyone adores – especially Livia's grandmother. They spend the summer bickering (and later flirting) and eventually hatching a plan to save the bar. This was such a lovely and refreshing summer read, and by the end we knew two things were certain: there really is nothing better than a summer romance – and the Italians sure know how to French ❤️
