šŸ˜” Anyone else feeling very flat in the UK today? While a trip to the bookshop won’t fix the nonsense, it will give you a little time to breathe and to decompress. Grab yourself a great book to get lost in today.

…and encourage all those around you to read read and read some more. Because this country could definitely do with reading more - for education, for enjoyment and for empathy.

Let’s raise a next generation who read about the plight of other people in books and feel empathy, rather than anger, fear and hatred. Let’s raise kids who want to build communities who stand together, rather than to ā€˜Otherise’ people of different colour and culture.

Let’s all be human…together šŸ“š

As a parent, I’ve always found Art Boxes for kids really disappointing. The example picture always looks fabulous, but even Frida Kahlo herself couldn’t make with the tat quality materials provided!

So I was super keen to stock The Art Box from Moreau Art Box. They contain great easy-to-follow instructions and top quality art supplies to help you create your own masterpiece.

…and the art supplies are so generous that you’ll have plenty left over to create more masterpieces afterwards!

Devised, designed and made by a local art studio in Clapham, these kits are the perfect way to encourage kids to explore their creativity šŸ§‘ā€šŸŽØ

Suitable from age 6 to infinity!

šŸ“ Pop in to ChocoLit Children’s Bookshop at 14 Old Town (next to Gail’s) and get the arty party started! šŸŽØ

ā€˜Bear Worries’ - another beautifully fabulous reason to say no to AI-produced slop! This is picture book perfection, a gently hilarious story of Bear, who loves being a bear and eating cookies šŸŖ , but who also worries about the ā€˜what if’. What if he runs out of cookies? What if he misses the bus to the store to buy more cookies? What if he has to take a shortcut through the scary forest and gets lost? šŸ¤”

…this is the most wonderfully written and illustrated picture book, written and illustrated by a super-talented human creative, Natalia Shaloshvili.

…it could NOT be replicated by AI

…and it SHOULD not be replicated by AI

So, if you do one thing this month, make it supporting this fabulous human creative by picking up a copy (or two) of ā€˜Bear Worries’. Pop in to ChocoLit Bookshop and you can even get signed copies!

…you might even get to see the superb window illustration Natalia created for us 🄰
