Ant find a certain other Elderfower liqueur in stock anywhere at the moment?

We’ve got a great alternative from The Bitter Truth. The Bitter Truth Elderflower Liqueur twinkles in the glass like star light on hay bales while the fresh flowered scent tickles the nose, sending you straight back to summer days romping about in the English countryside.

While elderflower blossom is your first kiss on the tongue, fruit notes like quince and white grape support the fete of light herbs and spices that slide in and mix with honey sweetness to make this a complex drink worthy of a country squire’s picnic. The Bitter Truth – Elderflower Liqueur combines the characteristics of a spiced aperitif wine and a natural floral liqueur.

Sometimes called “bartender’s ketchup” try substituting this for sugar or another liqueur in drinks featuring white spirits and taste how the elderflower helps bring out the floral notes in your base spirit.

Enjoy this liqueur chilled on ice, with champagne as an aperitif or use it in one of numerous cocktail and long drink recipes.

Unfortunately we tried to call you back but the call failed a couple of times. Maybe we got a number wrong? It’s hard to know for sure. We would include your name, but you didn’t leave it!

Finally stocking some absinthe in the store after many requests!

We have the excellent Libertine Absinthe Originale available in 50ml or 200ml bottles.

Every summer Devoille harvests wormwood they grow in the hills above Fougerolles to make this classic verte (green) absinthe. The green colour comes from the traditional method of infusing the spirit with a carefully selected blend of botanicals after distillation, adding both herbal complexity and natural colour. Gold medal winner at the 2018 Paris Concours Général Agricole.

A delicate balance of the absinthe “Holy Trinity”—grand wormwood, aniseed, and fennel—create a herbaceous alpine bouquet over low to medium bitterness. The anise is not overpowering, but contributes enough sweetness to serve without sugar.
