An appreciation post for the wonderful Miriam Al-Noah, the culinary experience curator behind the city’s nicest dinner parties -

We’ve had Mim at Ours (now .by.ours ) a few times since we moved in, and can safely say the spread she put on was the star of the show on each occasion.

For Mim, its equal parts the taste of the food and the experience around it — the handmade ceramics used to decorate, the stories behind the dinnerware, how she presents the dishes, and the playlist she makes for the evening will have you inviting her back for the vibe she creates in the kitchen just as much as the incredible food she prepares.

As we open the doors on a new chapter with the official launch of .by.ours we’re looking back through some of the different bookings we’ve had.

It was a joy hosting at the house in Fitzroy for appointments while they were in the city, and the space lent itself perfectly to a weekend of showings and fittings.

If you’ve got your own brand, whether local or interstate, and need a place to host viewings, fittings or appointments in Naarm, we’ve got some perfect spaces all ready to go for you at Yours in Richmond.

And for the rest of January we’re offering discounted rates on all bookings. All the spaces can be rearranged and booked together to suit your specific needs.

Spread across four levels, Yours is multi-use and styled with art and objects made by local creatives.

I designed and installed a reception counter at ‘s new Duke Street showroom.

Put together brick by brick with 5,834 pieces of steel hand cut and spaced out individually between each layer.

Thank you and for inviting me down and trusting me to add to the inspiring space you’ve put together. We came a long way from laying the first six bricks on the ground and working our way from concept to installation.

Huge thank you also to Mike for the extra pair of hands and the moral support to get me over the line.
