With views like this, we wouldn’t be ready to migrate either!

Wisconsin cranberry marshes maintain an average of 7 acres of support land for every acre of harvested cranberries, serving as home for a wide variety of native plants and wildlife!

Many marshes in the state see the same pairs of birds returning year after year to live and reproduce!

Welcome to Wisconsin! Forget the cattle—it’s the Wild (Mid) West, where we wrangle CRANBERRIES!

Ever wonder how Wisconsin cranberry growers round up millions of floating cranberries during harvest?

Thanks to their natural buoyancy, cranberries float when growers flood the beds and knock the berries loose from the vines. But getting them off the vines is only half the job!

That’s where the cranberry wrangling begins.

Using tractors, booms and blowers, growers work together to corral the floating cranberries into one area, making them easier to collect.

It’s all part of the unique process of wet harvesting cranberries in Wisconsin, the nation’s leading cranberry-producing state!
