The guitar has been found and the two thieves have been arrested in Baltimore, Maryland. Thank you to everyone who helped with trying to find the guys and the guitar. Wilmington stay strong.

Yesterday, (5/9/26) around 2:05PM this man came into the shop and executed a premeditated plan to steal an acoustic guitar. He wore his hat down low to conceal his face from the cameras and enacted his plan at the perfect moment. His getaway driver and accomplice waited for him around the side of our building with the engine running. By the time we got out the door, the vehicle was blocks away. The getaway car was an imported silver hatchback. Make and model unknown.

The stolen instrument in none other than a boutique, one of a kind, TAHG 000 Style Acoustic Guitar. This fantastic instrument was handmade by local luthier Tony Alfano. We have been very excited to share Tony's work with all of you and are completely dismayed and appauld by the brazen actions of this individual. We will share another post with details about the instrument should anyone have information as to it's whereabouts.

The man in this video has perpetrated grand larceny against not one, but two local businesses. We have developed a great community around Guitar Pickers and have our loyal patrons to thank for that. We appreciate each and every one of you. You guys rock! Please like and share this post to help us get this instrument back home where it belongs.

Today, (5/9/26) this man stole a very high end guitar from the shop. This unique, 1 of 1 instrument was handmade here in Wilmington by Tony Alfano of TAHG Guitars.

The thief in question has multiple hand and neck tattoos and was spotted in Guitar Pickers recently, likely casing things out. He had a getaway car waiting outside. A silver hatchback, possibly a Hyundai. We did not get a plate number and suspect he had accomplice doing the driving. If you spot this man or the guitar, please let us know. You steal from a local business you become the face of this town.
