So I updated my personal profile pic because I think that was probably one of the best days of my life. After my divorce, I settled into grief….big time. It absolutely broke me…to the point of hopelessness.

The great thing was, I’d already purchase Tickets to go to my home away from home in Mexico, so I decided to go alone and meet some friends there. In this picture, I’d gotten up early to meet Carissa Sokol on the beach and watch baby sea turtles be released into the ocean. First of all, if you’ve never done it, it’s incredible to watch all theses beautiful creatures fight against the sand and water and birds to just get to the ocean. But in that moment, I felt like if these teensy beings can make it, so can I and it was the moment, I knew I’d be ok. I sat on one of the chairs just watching the ocean and replanning my life…and yes, crying but letting the sun and breeze dry my tears.

This morning as I was driving to my realtor, I was thinking about who I am now and what I’m about. Holy sh*t…. I’m buying a building all by my damn self. I sold a house all by myself and I’ve got a whole life ahead of me to be happy. I’ve got a super cute boutique that brings people joy and I’ve met some incredible people who’ve become part of my tribe. I’m living the life that 20 years ago I prayed for and probably another 20 people are STILL praying for.

I have no idea why I spilled all of this, maybe as a simple reminder if you feel like you’ll never be happy or you don’t know how to find happiness, go release a sea turtle….its all about perspective.
