ABC Thrift Shop

ABC Thrift Shop Washburn's ABC Thrift Shop was founded in 1989 to offer low cost serviceable goods to the Chequamegon As of 2018 the ABC Thrift Shop has a new look.

It was remodeled and now offers even more sales options of low cost serviceable goods. The ABC Thrift Shop is solely operated by volunteers. All profits beyond operational expenses are donated to worthy causes and non-profit groups. The ABC Thrift Shop board is made up of 9 volunteers, two each from the four local Washburn churches and one at large member. Board members distribute income to the ne

edy through thirteen area churches as well as the Salvation Army, B.R.I.C.K., New Day Shelter, Toys for Tots and other numerous nonprofit groups. While Facebook insists on categorizing the shop as a "thrift & consignment" shop we do not accept consignment items.

Volunteers needed! Can you help?

Shifts are Monday - Friday: 10am -1pm or 1pm - 4pm. Saturday shifts are 10am-2pm. Many of our volunteers work on a regular shift with a friend, but there's no requirement to commit to a shift every week. Check the calendar for an open shift and sign up when you have time to help out. Volunteer work includes manning the check-out desk. If you are willing and able you can also help out with putting donations out on the shelves and replenishing clothing racks.

ALL proceeds from ABC Thrift Shop go back into the community to support people in need, school programs, youth programs, etc. We have no paid employees.

Stop in and complete an application form and our scheduler will help you get set up with a trained volunteer.

We know it's tempting, but please do not leave donations outside the shop doors. Doing so creates a hazard for our volunteers and at times we have to discard them due to inclement weather.

Donations are accepted most Mondays through Fridays (10-1) and Saturdays (10-2). If we're open, we're accepted donations.
