My name is Lindsay Addis and I am a stay at home mom "once" art teacher before our three wonderful children arrived. My husband Mike does a lot of traveling with the military but when he's home we enjoy building and creating unique creations for our home, family, and friends together. Every once in a while even the kids get to get in on the fun of creating an item. Distressing the wood is usually
their specialty! We started creating things our children needed that I really could not find in stores or online. It was brought to my attention that maybe we should think about sharing our talents with more people through Etsy so we opened shop in November 2015. We named our shop Once Wood because our creations start with just a simple piece of wood and are transformed into something that can be cherished for years to come. We are both former graduates from our local universities' art department so we take a lot of pride in what we create. Our sense of style is rustic, eclectic, and elegant so almost anyone can find a space for our "once wood" creations.
