A compact fixture can make a significant difference when the goal is to hide the light source.

The Micro Max Rail measures just 1.25” × 1.00” × 0.45”, making it easy to integrate into walls, rails, ledges, and other tight mounting locations without drawing attention to the fixture itself. Its 22 AWG lead wire is also easier to route and conceal, helping maintain a more finished appearance once the installation is complete.

Depending on the surface, the fixture can be mounted with screws or construction adhesive, giving installers more flexibility in the field.

In this application, the fixture virtually disappears into the wall while providing a wide, even wash of light across the turf.

A spotlight has to survive a lot more than installation day.

Heat. Moisture. Insects. Power surges. Irrigation. Coastal air. Years of exposure to the elements.

That is the thinking behind the signature look of the V3. The vertical-finned body increases surface area to move heat away from the integrated LED system, while an internal ant guard helps protect the electronics from one of the most common problems we see in landscape fixtures. Built-in surge protection adds another layer of protection in the field.

Then we build the housing from 6061-T6 aluminum, use 316 stainless hardware, and make the LED module serviceable instead of treating the entire fixture as disposable.

The V3 was designed for the environment it actually has to live in.

DESIGN TIP: SHADOWING

A blank wall gives you more to work with than you might think.
Position your fixture so the plant material sits between the light source and the wall. Now the landscaping becomes part of the architectural lighting, creating shadows that add texture, contrast, and another layer to the design.

Turtle-friendly lighting takes more than an amber glow.

On projects near sea turtle nesting beaches, follow FWC’s three rules: keep it low, long, and shielded. Use the lowest practical mounting height and only the output needed, select LEDs that emit only wavelengths of 560 nm or greater, and direct the light down with the source hidden from the beach.
