Hey y’all, I wanted to take a moment and give you a little update from this side of the workbench 🤎
I’ve gone back and forth quite a bit about reopening customs, but for now, custom orders will remain closed. That said, if you’ve got an idea you just can’t quit thinking about, feel free to reach out. If it sparks some inspiration, you never know what might end up on my bench ✨
Life has been especially full lately.
Charlie is wrapping up his very first year of school 🎓, and between all the end-of-year activities and summer right around the corner, my heart is set on making memories with him. We’ve got plans for fishing, camping, and plenty of adventures 🎣🏕️—just giving my boy the kind of childhood and life experiences every kid deserves.
I’ve also had a few personal hurdles lately. I recently had some health scares, my doctor was concerned I may have cancer. As of right now, they believe it is a benign hematoma, which is very encouraging, but I’m not 100% in the clear just yet (So please keep us in your thoughts). They’ll be checking it again in a few months to make sure everything is as it should be. On top of that, I had some pretty intense dental work done this week, so I’ve been taking some time to heal. Thankfully, Charlie has been the sweetest little nurse, keeping me supplied with plenty of cuddles 💕🥹
Since starting my full-time position at Springfield Leather back in January, life has been wonderfully busy. Balancing that with running this business and being a full-time single mama is no small task, but it’s also been incredibly rewarding. Working here has allowed me to sharpen my skills even more, and I can truly see that growth reflected in my leatherwork 🪡✨
While customs are on pause for now, I’ll absolutely still be creating and sharing pieces that inspire me—items that will be available for purchase as they’re completed. In fact, I’m currently working on a gorgeous women’s laptop tote featuring red and white speckled cowhide, beautifully tooled leather, interior tumbler holders, and even a discreet little concealed-carry pocket for my pew pew 🤫😉 She’s going to be a beauty.
