Headed out with guide Clayton Primrose for a day on Sam Rayburn. This time my bride Heather North will be joining us. Hoping to put a few fish in the boat and start the celebration of our 20 year anniversary. It’s not the trip to Hawaii we planned for but this year’s job situation hasn’t been great. I love spending time with her!

Another Mike’s Lures jig for the win! 8lbs 11 ounces on one of our jigs in a threadfin shad skin. Bass and crappie are keyed in on shad around creek channels on Rayburn right now. Thanks to guide Clayton Primrose for a fun day on the water. Along with this pig, we caught numerous bass, some crappie for the skillet and a few catfish.
