I’m selling my Rodbuilding equipment. I have a Woodcrafters lathe with assorted turning bits, attachments and chisels, Kobalt radial saw with extra blades, Craftsman power saw. Porter Cable bench grinder, Kobalt vice. Also comes with a workbench and storage tool cabinet. Asking $2500, if bought separately new, items would cost 4-5K.

Well the journey has been fun. I've made some lifetime friends and met some top notch people. I'm getting ready to wrap up some remaining builds and moving towards closing shop. Different health issues have taken priority! In the coming weeks I'll be selling off equipment and supplies. Keep an eye on both my pages for a list and photos of items to be sold. Hopefully some young person that has the rod crafting bug will get them. Thanks for those wonderful customers I've generated and had the pleasure to build for.

I’ve been building custom rods for roughly 12 years and have done a few theme rods but never actually done one for myself. I present my Dallas Cowboys custom rod. It’s built on Rainshadow Immortal blank 6’8” ML with Forecast blue C/F grips (butt grip bored to accept a size 20 polyurethane shim for the butt cap). AMTAC seat with Alps tall frame spinning guides and metallic silver JTOB’s and silver single thread inlays. I wanted a full rear grip and split grip combined. I think I found a decent compromise. Where my Haters at!!! 🤣🤣🤣

Just a little bit of a twist on some Dallas Cowboys theme rod. Both built on Rainshadow blanks IMMP70M and REVCB66ML. AMTAC seats, Forecast blue carbon fiber gripsets (really like the versatility of a foregrip that can be used as a rear grip), Alps blue guides, threadwork accents of JTOB’s and a wrap I haven’t done in a long time. A ghost wrap (done with stick on stars and blue nylon) that was highlighted in Rodmaker magazine some years ago! Sorry about pics quality, not my better work. Capt. Gary Traylor of Fishers of Men guide service may not catch more fish with these but they’ll look good while doing it! 🤣🤣🤣🎣🎣🎣

This build is on a Rainshadow REVCB66ML. Custom made green rubberized cork, Alps soft textured spinning seat, c/f sleeve hood, Alps guide train and Throop tiger and JTOB accents. This rod will be paired with a Lews MH2-100A.

Another build off the dryer, built on a Rainshadow Revelation REVCB70M blank, AMTAC Aero soft touch spinning seat, Forecast carbon fiber rear grip and custom turned acrylic butt. Threadwork is Troop Tiger wrap in red metallic, white and black, JTOB’s in white and Alps spinning guide train. This is a personal build to be paired with a Shimano Vanford 2500.
