BookTraders is an independent used bookstore that has been in the historic Garland District for over 35 years. Our book-trading policy is one of the best in Spokane. We love connecting people with the books they need.

Due to the hassle of getting down into the district yesterday, we have decided to extend our romance sale! We will be here until 4 pm today, so come down and get your romance fix. Whether you like Western romances, romances set in Victorian/Medieval/historical times, or just a good modern-day romance, we have something for you.

Today, Karin did not close her book to be here...she just brought the book with her. Some days are like this....our book is too good and the snacks are ALSO too good so we are forced to indulge. Last year, I went on a book crawl in Snohomish County during Indie Bookstore Week. My mom and I only dedicated one day to this part of our trip, planning to hit other stores outside of Snohomish on the second day. Along the way, we noticed the same couple at the same stores we were at, so we struck up a conversation. Now a year later, she has published her book! dropped off a few brand new copies of it here at the shop and it's so beautiful guys! I'm excited to read my copy, but this might be the book you need too!

Come down and grab a copy, or browse the shelves for your next adventure. Open until 5 pm today and 11 am to 4 pm tomorrow!

Another day...another aisle. Have you been in recently? You'll notice a much easier time navigating our aisles as extra books are worked into (and out of) our shelves and aisles.

Enjoying the new organization? Please help us keep things beautiful and organized by only shopping the books lined up at the front of the shelf. A gentle reminder that books tucked behind the first row are all duplicates of what is in front. We rotate these to the front as books are bought. We appreciate you all and are trying to make the shopping experience more enjoyable for everyone.

Pick up a book you no longer want? That's not a problem at all! Please leave it with us at the front desk and we will reshelve it in its correct home. This allows us to find books quickly for others who might be searching for that exact copy!

Thank you for all your support and love to our store and staff. We couldn't do it without you all!

Open Monday through Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm and Sundays, 11 am to 4 pm.
