In addition to spending time on the guitar builds today, I finished up two small shop improvements.
First up, I finally replaced my first ever router table setup with a shop made router carriage plate complete with a set of clearance inserts. All done on my Bridgeport Mill. Peep that 3rd pic for the sketchiest router table setup known to man. Used that for almost 15 years. It was like sorta almost close enough accurate. The new one is literally dead perfect. 💪
Next up was a shelf for my lathe tooling made from scrap wood kicking around the shop. Recycle, and reuse!! ♻️ My metal shop area is always a mess and it drives me crazy. At least the lathe is starting to look organized…. Baby steps….
I have a laundry list of shop made tooling, jigs and fixtures that I’ll be tackling in my spare time in the coming months. All for the greater good of better faster and more accurate. The router carriage plate was a warmup. 😎 🤘🤘
