This is the last stock build I’ll have available or for a while. So don’t miss out!! Like for real!!!!

This Kalos SB with Figured Koa Top was just listed in my Reverb Shop!!

The Kalos SB is a true fully hollow parallel braced archtop guitar. Unlike the standard Kalos with a top back and rim, the body on the SB is machined and hollowed out from a solid block of wood. The top is then set in to the body.

This one absolutely epic!! Singing sustain, notes bloom and practically jump out of it. Chords are full and snappy. A pair of my DGN Tru-PAF HiPo hums, a DGN Blaster and individual coil taps round out the electronics.

First tone demo of the DGN Four Fifteen coming in hot!!

I had a lot of ground to cover so this vid is a little long. I’ll have more detailed videos of what this guitar can doing in the near future on my YouTube channel.

Also this is my very first vid with my new audio interface setup. Here’s the signal chain:

DGN Four Fifteen -> Pedal Board -> DGN 427 Tube Amp (Channel 1 only, which is like a low watt twin) -> Celestion G12-65 -> Large diagram condenser -> Universal Audio Volt 176 -> iPhone.

No mixing, eq tweaks, or mastering. Just straight audio from the mic to my phone. I think there’s a peak or two in there, sorry, again still learning. 😂 But still way better than the iPhone’s internal mic. 💪

DGN Custom Guitars – Four Fifteen

It’s taken more than a decade for this guitar to come to life—not for lack of trying, but out of the highest respect for the builder whose work helped shape my own.

Taku Sakashta has inspired countless builders, myself included. His life was tragically cut short in 2010, but his influence on modern lutherie remains profound. Among boutique builders, his instruments are admired not only for their beauty, but for the innovative thinking behind every detail.

The inspiration behind the DGN Four Fifteen is deeply personal. My goal was never to recreate Taku’s work, but to honor the ideas that inspired me while building something unmistakably DGN. Those ideas first found their voice in the Kalos in 2016. Today, they continue with the Four Fifteen—a guitar built not to look back, but to carry that spirit forward.
