This set of books I sold at auction in 2018 and continues to increase in value today.

Ten volumes, complete, written under the pseudonym of “Olive Green.” Small octavo. Various paginations. Myrtle Reed used the pseudonym “Olive Green” for her cookbooks.

This is my next Bookstore project. Procuring low-light-loving plants to green-up Le Toilet. The hanging fixtures were already in the garden room inventory. It just occurred to me that the three “shower shelf nooks” can hold three more. 😃🪴

About 8-10 days ago I bought a nice pineapple, heavy-ish for its size. I passed the time watching it reach the peak of ripeness. As soon as I walked into the kitchen today from the bookstore there was a sweet aroma. It was ready to burst open.

I grabbed the crown and wacked the whole pineapple 🍍 hard several times on the counter on the bottom of the fruit to “unseat” the plug at the center, maybe like a belly button. I removed the crown grabbing it with one hand and twisted it off. I used a knife to help get my fingers around the plug in the bottom and gently pulled.

The whole idea wast to enjoy each eye of the pineapple like a personal size bite. I did use the knife to make some of the plugs easier to pull out, but wow! What a great afternoon refresher.
