Join us on June 7th at 1 PM to meet local author Felicia Calhoun. Her debut novel is Rose Willows and the Search.

The novel follows Rose Willows as she searches for a father she thought dead since he left her 17 years ago. Her search leads her directly into the middle of a war that has been raging for over a century. Now, it's on Rose's shoulders to help end this war.

Felicia will be giving a brief talk about her book, followed by a Q&A and book signing.

We forgot to announce next month's book club! If only we could time travel and get a post out on time. If only, if only...

Any way, we're reading a book about time travel! The Ministry of Time by Kaliane Bradley follows a civil servant tasked with helping the time traveling Commander Graham Gore adjust to modern life while also noting if his trip through time is causing him to go insane, turn inside out, or something equally horrific. Gore isn't the only person plucked from his time. There are four others and they are all equally quixotic ducks out of water but also adjusting quickly to modern life's conveniences.

New books!

It's finally here! "A Parade of Horribles", the latest in the Dungeon Crawler Carl series, is here!

"The Last Mandarin" is a new novel by Louise Penny co-authored with Mellissa Fung. The authors even released an Indie Bookstore Exclusive because they love us. Unfortunately, the bonus material was misprinted, but they are working on a solution. This edition does contain the complete story, so no worries there. I just think of them as future collector's editions!

We had the release of Platform Decay (Murderbot Diaries), A Parade of Horribles (Dungeon Crawler Carl), and The Tapestry of Fate (Amina Al-Sirafi Adventure) all in the last two weeks. What series are you excited to see continued?

It's World Book Day!

And since we consider ourselves somewhat experts on the matter of books, we want to put a debate we see quite often to bed. Audiobooks: reading or not?

The quick answer: Yes. The long answer: Yes, audiobooks count as reading.
