Randy Stockwell is a luthier, guitar builder, and musician best known for his custom Moon banjo bridges.

In the early 70s, he built just two excellent mandolins. This is one of them.

It is a superior quality handmade carved top solid wood mandolin, designed after the 1930s F5 models. Bright, even and strong in its tone, this mando can easily compete with its vintage Gibson brothers.

There was a time when we would have five or six new and used instruments like this in the shop at any given time.

Now, the longest I've seen an American Acoustech last on our sales floor is a week.

This one just came in, and it is serial number 321, making it one built in the first 24 months of the brand's existence.

It's extremely clean, no repairs, with an ebony bridge and a rosewood fretboard. ๏ฟผ

This instrument has been modified, the head stock appears to have been painted, and the bridge has been updated as well.
