In last month’s newsletter we mentioned how riders participating in our after-school Bike Clubs were learning rules of the road and practicing their bike handling skills with the hopes of soon going on group rides. In the weeks since, they’ve graduated to riding on the road and have enjoyed traveling by-bike to all sorts of fun neighborhood destinations.
Through these clubs, kids discover that a bike isn't just a way to get somewhere; it's a gateway to memorable experiences and a tool for their own transportation independence, whether they're pedaling to school, heading to a friend's house, or exploring their neighborhood on their own terms. Bikes don’t have to be THE activity– they can be used to go play at the park or get an ice cream from the corner store… or even to stop to pet the neighborhood goats!
