Rundown for today:

Breakfast, cookie counter, and pastry case are full for 7 am 🥳

Dot cakes ready for 9am - cupcakes coming out around that time, too

Made to order breakfast sammys all day (until 6)

Lots of moving parts today- new faces, new items, and some construction installing some upgrades to best serve you as we head into the summer ☀️

Cake orders are closed for the weekend ❤️ custom cakes are temporarily closed while we work on staffing

Unless you're a jerk, then kindly see yourself out

The cases this month will be loud and proud, bursting at the seams with rainbows and celebrating the lgbtq+ communities

Hate has no place here, in our store or on our social media pages. FAFO, you'll catch a block quicker than we sold through our dot cakes last weekend

Love is love, pastries are delicious, and you can bet your a$s we're celebrating all month long 🥳😘

Website will be updated by 10pm tonight but we will not be reviewing any submissions that come in before our inquiry form is removed from the website

Trying to stock the store / fulfill custom orders / hire & train new crew members while doing the other 872939383 things i do a week just isn't possible at the moment so we have to make a small adjustment to what we're able to offer

Theres SO much back & forth with coordinating custom orders and unfortunately I just dont have the time to step away from the kitchen to spend hours on a laptop each week 😬 its hard to see gaps in the cases and a lunch menu we've never launched because im stuck sending emails & collecting deposit payments (plus making the orders themselves!)

Our form is going to be removed from the website entirely so there isn't any confusion about what closed books means, and we'll work on having options available to order online once cake season is over

Any inquiries already submitted will be honored provided event dates haven't already reached capacity ❤️

Remember that time we teased some big news ... we're bringing Thursdays back!

Here's the thing, the jury's still out if we we'll be opening for morning or afternoon hours

After a wild 48 hours in small business survival mode (stay tuned for a story time), we're back on track and back to planning logistics

Our available choices are 7am-3pm or 12pm-7. These are the choices, this is the way. Love when you give me off the menu suggestions but this time around is a "this or that" based on our teams availability

💫 editing to add:
If we're not opening until 12 we wouldnt offer breakfast pastry or sammys- the breakfast bake needs full utilization of the ovens / lots of space which we dont have available once the rest of the baking crew gets in for the day at 9. We'd be strictly dessert only for a 12-7 schedule ❤️

To help us get good insight, please vote for the time youd visit us if / when we open back up

The target is early / mid june- we have a few more surprises and upgrades we'll be making before we get rolling. If its worth doing, its worth doing right and we've been planning behind the scenes for a few weeks now

Opening at our usual time but a little behind on breakfast / filling the cases today. Three 14 hour days in a row and I overslept 😵‍💫

breakfast pastry / buns will be late to come out but I can make you a breakfast sammy since im covering that station too 🤣

Cases will start filling up QUICK once the kitchen crew gets in at 9- until then I'm but one woman with two hands

We're hiring for retail! I need to get my butt out from behind the register and back into the kitchen, the hours listed are ideal but id take any help we can get if the full shift doesnt work for the right person

That being said....

‼️ I need to close June custom orders ‼️ I can't commit to taking on any new orders until we're fully staffed for retail. Trying to prep / bake / decorate and help guests /make drinks / run the sammy station when im solo 3-7 just isn't sustainable 🤷‍♀️

Baking is easy. Running a retail business in 2026 is f*cking hard. Brick & mortar bakeries are absolutely a dying business model and it feels like every time we get one thing under control another falls apart. Is it time for another pivot ? Who knows. But we'll start with we're hiring and hope for the best until then 🤞
