Well dang.
When Pittsburgh announced that we would be home to the NFL Draft, everyone got rill excited about "750k" tourists here.
Except.
Half of them didn't show up.
And.
They shut off all of the city streets downtown and rerouted traffic. They told the folks that live here that it would be impossible to get around, businesses would be packed, etc. So it scared all of the locals out of going anywhere all weekend.
It also made it so that people who came into town didn't leave the Northshore. They gave them activities, food from ghost kitchens, surging Uber rides, and no excuse to go out and explore.
The NFL Draft fu**ed every small business, restaurant, and tourist attraction.
And the city hyped us all into thinking this would be the best weekend ever.
It was the *actual* worst.
Businesses all over the city were dead. News articles are flying right now.
We've not experienced numbers this low in a Saturday for as long as I can remember. Deserted streets, our neighbors shutting down early...
This was nuts.
Anyways, we have a bunch of beautiful stuff available in our online shop. Maybe we can still salvage this weekend.
