FATHER’S DAY!

Great day to reflect on our Heavenly Father!

Psalm 103:13 As a father hath compassion on his children, so hath the Lord compassion on them that fear him.

This compassionate heart of God is best expressed in the Story of the Prodigal son, who when he came to his senses returned home to see his father. We see the father’s response in Luke 15:20-”But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.

Compassion moves one’s heart and also moves one to action to help.

The heart of God was MOVED WITH COMPASSION seeing our self-inflicted depravity. And it MOVED HIM TO SET MATTERS RIGHT- 1 John 4:9 says it well-This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.

God’s compassion birthed out of His love for creation, acted on our behalf so we can live our life to its fullness-”I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full”(John 10.10)

The life He gives will increase our quality of life. Draw on His supply!

We are our Father’s children!
