It's book donation time again! We know some of you are living under the specter of teetering piles of books, nearly buried in them. May we suggest a little cleaning. We'd love to give your books a second life. And if you can't make our Thursday drop off time, just call the shop. We'll work to set up another time to receive your donation.

AUTHOR EVENT: This Saturday (6pm) join us for a fun reading and conversation with Dr. Meg Wahlberg, author of Knitbone and Chivalry in the Shadows. Knitbone is the latest from and the historical fiction novel takes place in 13th century France during the chaotic Albigensian Crusade.

Bring your most obscure questions about medieval herbalism and military medicine. There will be a theatrical reading, a book signing, and a Q&A with the author.

We're joining in on this nationwide birthday bash. Our US History, Black Studies, and Native American Studies sections are all an additional 15% off our regular discount. There's a huge difference between us and Am*zon. These "Prime" days are a perfect time to show some love to the local, independent businesses and nonprofits that you care about. When you pluck one of the excellent-condition, used books off our shelves, you pay just a third of the retail price and support the Chestnut Hill Library. Come visit.

This summer solstice, we're prepping for the Fall! We're seeking performers/storytellers to join us for our second Ghost Walk Stories Event in October! Performers will share short, scary stories as part of this community event. It's a fun time, and this is a paid opportunity. Our "Big Truck Book Sale" is this weekend. These photos from our past sidewalk sales serve as a reminder of the many amazing books and deals that you can find at our semi-annual sales! We'll be set up across from the store at 97 Bethlehem Pike from 10am-4pm both Saturday & Sunday! $1/paperbacks, $2/hardbacks, $3/oversized and a bag sale ($5/bag) starting on Sunday at 1pm.
