Stacy's Book Rack 📚 Formerly Peoria Book Rack
Welcome to Stacy's Book Rack, Central Illinois' independent bookstore since 1972.

We're the same locally owned bookstore you've always loved, now with a new name that reflects the community we've built together. My name is Stacy Hardin and I am the owner of this fine establishment. I began shopping at the Book Rack when I was 12 years old! I spent many Saturday afternoons here, perusing the romance section. I was wildly in love with Harlequin Romances and Silhouette Desire Romances. Now that I am older – I won’t tell you how old – my tastes have changed. I no longer read those types of romance novels; I prefer women’s fiction, paranormal, and suspenseful material now. My favorite book of all time is The Talisman by Stephen King. I truly hope to be running The Book Rack for the next 30 plus years. If you are in the need of a great book or just want to pop in and check things out, please don’t hesitate to do so. I very much look forward to meeting each and every one of you!

Book friends!!! I realized I forgot to share with you the school that is receiving our Holiday Book Giveaway this December!!!

About 5 years ago, we started the Holiday Book Giveaway with a local Peoria Metro school, and it's been so much fun!!! We choose a school, and then we buy every student in that school a brand-new book for the December holiday season!!!

This year it is Annie Jo Gordon Community Learning Center, a K-8 Peoria Public School with approximately 542 students.

We are able to do this because of YOU! When you shop with us, when you come to Peoria Bookfest, when you purchase those book genre recommendations from our cute little gumball machine in the bookstore, when you put your extra change in our Your Change Matters container on the counter - all of those things combined help us do this, as well as some of our other community outreach projects!

Thank you so much! Stay tuned, because we will share pics with you of the books as we wrap them, and deliver them next month
!!!! - So very, very grateful to you all - Stacy & Mr. Book Rack

My husband is struggling so hard with this new book. I told him to just stop, go read the Crescent City series first, and then go back to ACOTAR 6.
