One of the questions we get asked most often is, "What kinds of wedding dresses and formal gowns are you looking for?"
The truth is... we're SUPER picky! 😊 And that's actually a good thing for both our shoppers and our consignors. The items we accept are the same types of dresses our customers are actively looking for and purchasing every single day.
If you're thinking about bringing in a wedding dress or formal gown, here are a few helpful guidelines:
✅ All dresses should be freshly cleaned and wrinkle-free.
✅ If your wedding dress is stored in a preservation box, please remove it from the box before bringing it in for evaluation.
✅ Wedding dresses that are 2-3 years old or newer tend to sell best because they reflect current bridal trends.
✅ Have an older gown that you feel has a timeless, classic style? Bring it in! We'd be happy to have a staff member take a look.
💡 The biggest piece of advice we can give:
Be realistic about pricing expectations.
Just like a car, wedding dresses and formal gowns depreciate after they've been worn, altered, and taken home. While many gowns originally cost thousands of dollars, resale value is based on current market demand, condition, style, age, and fit—not original purchase price.
