While their wispy blooms give off a delicate appearance, these flowers were highly valued by Japanese social elites and samurai knights, who saw them as a symbol of power and refined aesthetic taste. The blooms also produce a strong, sweet fragrance similar to vanilla and jasmine. Find them along with other fascinating specimens on our plants of interest list this week!
