This is why safety manuals, manufacturers, and industry organizations take wind seriously. A bounce house can become airborne faster than most people realize.

We may ruin a party by following the rules, but that's far better than ruining someone's life by ignoring them.

Nebraska currently has no statewide inflatable ride regulations. There is no state licensing requirement for inflatable operators, no mandatory training requirement, and no requirement that operators carry insurance.

That means anyone can buy an inflatable, create a page, build a website, put a logo on a truck, and start renting.

Reviews do not equal safety.

A professional-looking website does not equal safety.

A logo does not equal safety.

Even claims of insurance should be verified.

When choosing an inflatable company, ask questions. Ask about training. Ask about anchoring procedures. Ask about weather policies. Ask for proof of insurance.
